These sculptures capture the essence of movement and energy in the natural world. Through tactile surfaces and the use of smoke and clouds, they tell a story of the landscape in motion. I create these sculptures by layering and blending various colours and textures using an airbrush and experimenting with glazes. I take inspiration from both European and Asian art, transforming traditional forms into playful, gestural pieces.
I transform materials into ridiculously loud Rococo sculptures while celebrating my messy body that’s deaf-disabled, fragile and deaf-strong. Ultimately, these sculptures celebrate the beauty of imperfection and the human body’s adaptability.
